The marina has 560 fully serviced berths and has a chandlery, brokerage and repair services provided by B.J. Marine Ltd.

The marina and harbour are situated in the town of Bangor and its just a short walk to the shops, resturants and bars. There is a childrens play area called Pickie Park and in the summer months operates a boating lake, where you can take a swan for a paddle, a minature railway and a paddling pool. The play area is open all year round and has a good variety of apparatus for the kids to climb, slide and swing on.

The closest yacht clubs are Balyholme and Royal Ulster which are a short distance from Bangor itself.

The entrance to the Harbour is between 2 grey concrete breakwaters, The North Breakwater, has a large red pillar on top with a Red Light. Iso R 12s 9m 14 M

The North Breakwater also has leading lights. These can be seen when you are lining up to enter the harbour. there are red, white and green sectors on this light. Dir Occ WRG 1m. Just inside the entrance, east of the Pickie Breakwater, to the West side of the entrance there is a Green pole, with a light, 2FG (vert) 3M.
Go between the two breakwaters and the marina opens on your starboard side. Leave the green pole to starboard as you enter the marina.

The marina can be contacted on VHF CH 80, callsign Bangor Marina.

HM Coastguard - The Maritime Rescue Sub Centre is situated at Bangor at the Marina in Bregenz House.
A continuous VHF watch is maintained on Channel 16, Working channel 67.
