Lough Erne’s traditional RNLI Open Day is an invitation to meet the local team of RNLI volunteer crew, men and women, who are ever ready to go anywhere on the lakes in one of the two RNLI rescue craft on Upper and Lower Lough Erne. All are welcome to a lively programme of demonstrations involving RNLI, the Fire and Rescue Service and a helicopter at Fermanagh’s sixth RNLI Open Day on Saturday 1 July, from 1.00 to 4.00 pm at the Yacht Club site, Killadeas.

Driving a RIB (rigid inflatable boat) requires great skill and that is what took fifteen year old David Furney of Ballyholme Yacht Club and 11 year old Emma Sandford from Quoile to the top of the RYA/Honda Youth RIB regional championship.
